The first story, which lasted for 13 episodes, features the regaining of the Inner Sailor Senshi's memories and their encounters with the Makaiju aliens (Ail and An), and is referred to as the Makaiju arc. The main story arc explores the future of all the inner Sailor Senshi in a utopia city called Crystal Tokyo, ruled over by Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion. New characters introduced include Chibiusa, Sailor Pluto, and in the manga, Diana. The primary villains are the Black Moon Clan, led by Prince Demande.
